MS-760 Paris Jet Smoke System. An FSX compatible engine smoke system for the Tim Conrad Morane Saulnier MS-760 (MS-760PARISJET.ZIP). Easy installation. By Tom Tiedman.
1.) Tim Conrad for his wonderful freeware MS-760.
2.) The original author of the "fx_smoke_f6" file, whoever you are.
3.) I just juggled some numbers. As per usual... no big whoop.
1.) (NOTE: I use Tim Conrad's MS-760 in FSX-SP2, where Tim's sound does not work, so I substituted the default Lear 45 sound file in my sim, which sounds quite nice for this little jet.)
2.) Copy and paste the enclosed "fx_smoke_f6" file into your FSX "Effects" folder. (It is probably there already).
3.) Open Tim Conrad's "aircraft.cfg" file and find the section marked [SMOKESYSTEM]. Notice it is all alone with no other information listed in it. Erase it. If you don't, when you install the new [SMOKESYSTEM] info. found below, it will not work.
4.) Copy and paste all of the enclosed [SMOKESYSTEM] info. below back into the "aircraft.cfg" file. I pasted mine at the bottom with good results. Then click 'file', then click 'save', of course.
5.) Press your "I" key while flying your MS-760 in FSX and enjoy the smokey engines!
smoke.0=-11.732, -1.306, -.801, fx_smoke_f6
smoke.1=-11.732, 1.306, -.801, fx_smoke_f6
