FSX North American XB-70 Valkyrie

North American’s XB-70 Valkyrie brings the Mach 3-era bomber prototype to life in FSX with reworked, real-world-based flight dynamics, high-altitude performance to FL770, and authentic top-end speed near Mach 3.1. A custom smoke effect adds dramatic presence and requires the included fx_smoke_f6.fx in the Effects folder.

Base model included

North American XB-70 Valkyrie with real-world dynamics including smoke and speeds up to Mach 3.1, with high altitude capabilities up to FL770. Smoke system info is in the smoke sub-folder. Everything has been re-worked to make this aircraft fly as real as FSX will allow, and based on real-world data. Created by Massimo Altieri. All other details by Douglas E. Trapp.

FSX / P3D Complete with Base Model

  1. Extract the downloaded archive

    Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.

  2. Place files per the readme

    Most FSX add-ons go into one of: SimObjects\Airplanes\, Addon Scenery\, Effects\, or Gauges\.

  3. Always read the included readme

    Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.
