FSX New Year's Flight Adventure

New Year’s Flight Adventure recreates a WW2-era New Zealand mountain pickup mission, sending a DC-3 or C-46 along demanding alpine routes from Mount Cook to remote strips and landmarks while collecting expert climbers for the Allied effort. Built for FSX, it adds custom airfields and terrain files and includes a flight map for navigation.

Adventure Flight--New Year's Flight (or an important flight in New Zealand during WW2). New Zealand entered the Second World War by declaring war on Nazi Germany at 9:30 pm 3 September 1939. It is December 29th and your DC-3, C-46 squadron 599 has been alerted to pick up special mountain experts personnel throughout the country. Your DC-3 must start at Mount Cook and fly the "Mountain" Route to places like the famous seminary of The Holy Grail, where Father Ephrom is waiting. The men and women you will pick up are expert climbers needed to advise Allied commanders in the field. Not a flight for beginners. All the mountain fields you will be landing are very tricky so make sure some strong stuff is in the thermos bottle! By Gera Godoy C.

New Year's Flight Adventure.

1) Place the following .bgl files in your FSX/Addon Scenery/Scenery folder AND activate them.

AFX_NZT2.bgl
AFX_NZT6.bgl
AFX_NZT8.bgl
AFX_NZT9.bgl
CVX_FLATMONT.bgl
CVX_SL2EXTRU.bgl
CVX_Zela-1.bgl
CVX_zela-2.bgl
CVX_zela-3.bgl
This will create the new airports in FSX´s New Zealand needed for the flight.

3) Print the FLIGHT MAP.jpg which will aid you in your navigation.(Note that ALL airports you will fly to APPEAR IN "MAP" VIEW OF FSX after placing .bgl files)

Follow the Enclosed Instructions for the flight.

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D mission

Extract the downloaded archive

Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.
Place mission files

Missions go into FSX\Missions\ as a sub-folder. The folder must contain an XML file describing the mission.
Always read the included readme

Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.
