FSX A Day On The Farm Update Scenery

A Day On The Farm Update refreshes the countryside strips with a more accurate terrain model, adding believable bumps and undulations that reveal the mesh at its best. For FSX, it also brings road traffic and optional farm and airfield ambience, and requires the original A Day On The Farm scenery.

A Day On The Farm Update. An update to the original A Day on the Farm for FSX. Includes accurate (as possible) terrain model giving the fields bumps and undulations and allowing you to make out the tetrain mesh to the maximum. Also includes ro traffic and farm sounds at all the strips (sound update is a seperate download). By Neil Birch.

INSTALLATION:

YOU MUST HAVE ALREADY DOWNLOADED A DAY ON THE FARM- FSX.

Unzip the zip file ADOTF-update.zip into an empty directory.

You will now have now have a host of .bgl files copy these files (not the folder) into your A DAY ON THE FARM scenery folder, You will be prompted to overwrite certain files, only overwrite OLDER files.

In this latest update, all of the terrain settings are as accurate as possible, all the fields have sound (you will have to download the `Sounds Update' Seperately) and now you also have road traffic, its not brilliant but there's only so many hours in the day.

If I've missed any files out let me know it gets so complicated!!

This is freeware and includes other peoples work so do not sell it.

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D scenery

  1. Extract the downloaded archive

    Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.

  2. Place scenery in Addon Scenery

    Create a folder under FSX\Addon Scenery\ containing scenery and texture sub-folders.

  3. Activate in Scenery Library

    In FSX, go to Settings → Scenery Library → Add Area. Higher priority means it overrides lower entries for the same location.

  4. Always read the included readme

    Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.
