History:
Hidden Lake is a fictional airport but the lake is real!Located North of Kalispell Montana. My FSX friends and I thought it would nice to have an airfield to land on there instead of a tree filled beach.
Table Rock is real. First used during WWII as a field to train naval aviators and prepare them for carrier landings. It was also used during WWII to train Army Aircorp aviators for carrier landings. How do you think all those WWII planes got to where they were needed!
Camp White a world war 2 Army training and North west deffense base during WWII was built in early 1941 where the town Of White City Oregon now stands some of the bomber runways still exist as streets thru town! Table Rock was a perfect platform to train pilots on for carrier landings its high cliffs and length made it much like landing on a real carrier deck without the movement! Was left out of FSX because it was abandoned in late 1946. The runway still exist's but the property is owned by the BLM and is now a park with many hiking trails around them. By the way there are actually 3 plataues called Table Rock upper lower and middle but only 2 had airstrips. You can see the last remaining strip on google earth about 3 miles north of KMFR or Medford International Airport.
I took a lot of liberty in creating the airstrip by placing runways and parking spaces the real strip is all grass and rock. The only thing that remains of the old airstrip is the windsock and a grass strip.
