FSX Laurence G. Hanscom Field Scenery

Laurence G. Hanscom Field (KBED) scenery refreshes Bedford, Massachusetts in FSX with reworked aprons and taxiways, upgraded terminal and hangar buildings, and added parking lots, lightpoles, static vehicles, and aircraft for a busier ramp feel. Built with stock objects for compatibility, it requires no extra libraries while aiming for real-world layout accuracy.

Laurence G. Hanscom Field (KBED), Bedford, Massachusetts (MA). An improved version with adjusted aprons and taxiways, replaced default buildings, added static vehicles and more. By Jim Cook.

Laurence G. Hanscom Field Scenery.

Here is an improved version of the stock Laurence G. Hanscom Field. I adjusted and added aprons and taxiways to more closely match real life. I replaced many default buildings and added additional buildings. I added the parking lot and static vehicles, aircraft, lightpoles, and other filler objects.

I use Ultimate Terrain and FSGenesis landclass but they are not required. All objects are stock FSX so no additional object libraries are needed. Updates made using AirNav diagrams and Google Earth to be as accurate as possible. All work done with Flight 1's AFX program and Instant Scenery.

INSTALLATION:

Extract the two files KBED_AFX_JC.bgl and KBED_JC.bgl into your Addon Scenery/Scenery folder, re-start FSX and enjoy.

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D scenery
  1. Extract the downloaded archive

Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.
  2. Place scenery in Addon Scenery

Create a folder under FSX\Addon Scenery\ containing scenery and texture sub-folders.
  3. Activate in Scenery Library

In FSX, go to Settings → Scenery Library → Add Area. Higher priority means it overrides lower entries for the same location.
  4. Always read the included readme

Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.
