Fire station assets, static service vehicles, NASA touches, and lighting enhance realism, with no extra object libraries required.

Flight Simulator X Prepar3D

Ellington Field (KEFD), Houston, Texas (TX). Aside from being a civil airport, Ellington Field houses the Texas Air National Guard, the Texas Army National Guard, the US Coast Guard, NASA, and also serves UPS. Scenery includes parking, fire station with trucks, control tower, replaced buildiing, static vehicles and more. By Jim Cook.

Ellington Field Scenery.

This airport was requested by a fellow simmer, and it was so interesting, I had to do it. Aside from being a civil airport, Ellington Field houses the Texas Air National Guard, the Texas Army National Guard, the US Coast Guard, NASA, and also serves UPS.

I added Military_Cargo and Military_Combat parking spaces. I added the fire station and fire trucks. I moved and replaced the control tower, removed and replaced many of the default buildings and added additional buildings. Added static fork trucks, fuel trucks, parking lots with cars, NASA vehicles, and light poles. Added, removed, or adjusted taxiways and aprons.

I use Just Flight's Military Plus Packs and they work fine with this airport. I also use Ultimate Terrain and FSGenesis landclass but they are not required. All objects are stock FSX so no additional object libraries are needed. Updates made using AirNav diagrams and Google Earth to be as accurate as possible. All work done with Flight 1's AFX program and Instant Scenery.

I will be doing other military bases as time permits.

INSTALLATION:

Extract the two files AFX_KEFD_JC.bgl and KEFD_JC.bgl into your Addon Scenery/Scenery folder, re-start FSX and enjoy.

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D scenery

Extract the downloaded archive

Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.
Place scenery in Addon Scenery

Create a folder under FSX\Addon Scenery\ containing scenery and texture sub-folders.
Activate in Scenery Library

In FSX, go to Settings → Scenery Library → Add Area. Higher priority means it overrides lower entries for the same location.

Use these coordinates to fly directly to this location once the mod is installed.
