Editorial

This stunning remake of the wonderful Cessna Citation for FS2002 and 2004 is definitely one of my favorites for older simulators. The Citation has become a go-to aircraft for me in FSX so it feels nice to stop on with the old girl and try her out in an older simulator.

Despite the advancement in tech and control quality since FS2004, I expected this mod to be good but nothing in comparison to my more modern choices; what I found was that this could easily rival its more illustrious and modern counterparts any day of the week. It’s a hugely useful aircraft in this FS2004/2002 context, and does everything it can to sell and promote the wonderful nature of the Cessna Citation C-550.

This mod comes with a livery based on the old Citation Bravo which was used by BAC International Bank, so you know that you are flying an authentic and truly enjoyable remake of this wonderful aircraft. It comes with various new changes and improvements to the old model, ensuring that you can pick up various different designs and formats that work in the way that you had wanted.

Given this uses the BAC Int. design, it’s no surprise that this is a flagship carrier for big companies such as Grand Cayman, Florida, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua and large parts of North and Central America.

This means you are flying an aircraft for one of the most influential organizations of the present era – if you are OK with that, then you will be flying a model which does everything it can to carry off this beautiful ad interesting design with no problems at all.

However, this does more than just introduce new graphics to the table as it also accurately portrays the quality of performance from this aircraft. Flight dynamics have been improved and changed to help the model fly within flight simulation projects from the past, without having to miss out on too much along the way. This does a wonderful job of capturing this beauty and class in the model, and also helps you get to grips with a whole new set of sounds and textures to improve the presentation as much as anything else.

With fresh dynamics and new improvements to the sounds and the design you are left with a total improvement and overhaul of this aircraft, allowing you to fly it with freedom and without all of the usual problems that some people might find when they use a modded aircraft. Not only is this deeply relevant to the real thing but it manages to fit in all of those extra features as closely as possible, ensuring you have no problems in taking the whole thing through from one step to the next.

If you would like to experience a thoroughly refreshing flight experience then you absolutely have to try this out – it magically captures the beauty and the detail of an aircraft as fantastic as this, with everything from the panels to the sounds carefully represented to look their very best.

Airplane flies quite realistically, but computer model is not very good. Looking left or right from inside the cockpit, the wrong windows were used. They appear to have been taken from a Citation 6/7 Series, an Excel, or a Citation X. When you toggle the control yoke, it was taken from a Beech King Air. None of the panel switches are labeled, which can be a little confusing.

Delightful! This "Slow-tation" is a class act.
