MSFS Civil Jet Aircraft
Native Airbus A330-900neo Mega Pack
A fully native Airbus A330-900neo add-on for Microsoft Flight Simulator (MSFS…
Antonov An-225 “Mriya” arrives in Microsoft Flight Simulator as a complete, flyable heavy-lift cargo aircraft ported from an FSX-era model and tuned for the current engine. Expect a stable exterior model, workable systems within sim limits, a 747-8-based virtual cockpit, and default sound integration; requires optional Salty 747 for expanded avionics.
This comprehensive MSFS Antonov An-225 "Mriya" mod brings one of aviation’s most iconic cargo aircraft to Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 via a port-over from a legacy FSX release. Although some limitations exist (partly due to the simulator’s current SDK constraints and the 6-engine design), the add-on remains highly detailed, capturing the aircraft’s giant scale and unique flight dynamics as accurately as possible. The developer has taken great care to preserve original systems while employing creative workarounds, such as the partial use of 747-8 cockpit elements and A320 Neo sounds.
Over many hours of testing, I found the mod’s characteristics closely emulate the An-225’s heavy-lift capabilities, making it highly engaging for virtual cargo-hauling operations. Though still in beta and lacking a fully custom cockpit, updates appear to be ongoing and promise an even more faithful recreation. Enthusiasts who appreciate rare aircraft will enjoy immersing themselves in the history and power of this monumental plane, especially given its tragic destruction in the real world.
A fully functional and complete mod for Microsoft Flight Simulator (MSFS) 2020 release bringing the Antonov An-225 "Mriya" to your flight simulator. It's a port-over from a previous FSX release with many adjustments and changes to make it compatible with the new simulator. The developer has spent a lot of time ensuring that all of the original functions are compatible with the new MSFS 2020 release.
The developer has ported over the original Fly Away Simulation release of the An-225 here to your copy of the Microsoft Flight Simulator.
While as much as it can has been converted over and made work with the new sim, of course, some things are not possible due to the new sim structure and SDK limitations. Microsoft made it as easy as they can for developers to work on older models from legacy sims but with the brand-new engine, some essential changes will of course be needed to be made.
The An-225 is a huge cargo aircraft built by Antonov in the USSR era and currently maintained by the Ukrainian Antonov company in Kyiv (and only one was ever made) and has become popular with "av-geeks" and aviation enthusiasts alike. The aircraft boasts 6 engines which are truly unique for a cargo aircraft of its kind - a true behemoth to fly both in the real world and of course within the sim.
In 2022 during the "Russian Special Military Operation" in Ukraine, the only existing AN-225 was destroyed in a reported intentional bombing strike. This AN-225 was the only one in existence, so at the moment this aircraft does not exist in the real world. The Ukrainian president, Volodymyr Zelenskyy has vowed to rebuild this stunning aircraft that has become world-famous as a tribute to all pilots killed during the "war" In November 2022, Antonov confirmed plans to rebuild the aircraft at an estimated cost of $500 million. There was no confirmation of whether parts of the original aircraft would be used or the entire airframe and aircraft would be built from scratch for AN-225 #2.
Due to limitations within MSFS 2020, only 4 engines are controllable (it was the same in FSX) - the sim engine does not (currently) support a six-engine model - but who knows what Microsoft will expand/upgrade the sim to in the future.
The developer states the current model is in the "beta" version and aims to continue to update/release upgrades to the existing model so be sure to bookmark this page as we will of course update it as they become available.
Cockpit
The current cockpit is based on the 747-8 as remodeling the FSX 3D VC is very hard and takes time. Eventually, you can expect a fully functional (and classic USSR) An-225 cockpit. This can be seen in the video above.
Sounds
The current sounds of the mod are using the default A320 Neo sounds - purely because they are compatible with the sim and are easy to add.

I'm not sure if the description is from the file's readme, or written by flyawaysim staff, but I would like to request a correction. "The An-225 is a huge Russian-built cargo aircraft "
The Antonov Design Bureau is based in Kyiv and Mriya is Ukrainian for Dream or Inspiration. The aircraft was destroyed by Russian forces at Antonov Airport in February 2022. I feel this is an important factual distinction, and as aviation enthusiasts, accurate information should be paramount.
Thank you.
Hello
I think that at the time the AN225 was built, Ukraine was still part of the state of Russia or the USSR. So the aircraft was indeed built in Russia.
Furthermore, the aircraft was partially destroyed during the current Ukraine–Russia war.
Has it been restored? I don't know; if someone could shed light on this, I would appreciate the information, thank you.
It is important to note something. Although the aircraft was manufactured in Ukraine it was built as a Soviet transport with Soviet money - effectively Russian money as when the USSR dissolved Russia absorbed Urains portion of CCCP debt in return for denuding Ukraine.
The AN225 was at the airport almost ready to fly out but the chief pilot could not get a hold of management for permission to crew the aircraft and fly it out of Ukraine.
Why, well against the decree for all males under 60 yrs to stay and defend Ukraine, The company leadership bailed and left the country. Therefore the AN225 and others were stuck there. One 125 was not in the country and landed in Poland.
The MSFS Sim 225 creators' advertising giving the money to have it rebuilt or memorialized is a bit misguided. Short version, those rich bastards that cut and run don’t deserve the money. Don’t even get me started n the 2014 coup that unseated an elected government in favor of an alt-right pro-US government.
You can bet our CIA was involved in that one as SOUTH AMERICAN interventions. Then there is Ukraine harassing Russians living in the Dunbar region for 10 years. The geopolitics of the region is not well covered in relation to all that.
I know what title I know because I have friends in and from Ukraine and Russia and Dunbar region. It’s a political mess and corruption abounds. Already some of our weapons are appearing on the black market. Then I could go on about race laws and language censorship but that is another whole story…
It isn`t a Ukrainian Plane, because there was the USSR (soviet) when it was built and Oleg Konstantinowitsch Antonov lived.
Dear Flyawaysimulation,
The Antonov-225 is a UKRAINIAN super plane! Please correct the description so that it says that it is Ukrainian. Sadly due to the war, it got destroyed, in its home base in Ukraine.
Dear Seller, AN-225 is definitely not a Russian build. Depending on the type of reference you may mention it as Ukrainian- Built or in the worst case Soviet-Built. But considering that the current plane was fully refurbished and keep maintained in Ukraine, the first one is more correct.
regards, Konstantin.
Mriya is Ukrainian. The word "Mriya" translates as "the Dream" in the Ukrainian language. In Russian that would be "Mechta". She was built and serviced by a Ukrainian company Antonov which is located near Kyiv - the capital of Ukraine. Albeit her being built in the Ukrainian Soviet Republic that was part of the USSR, there is absolutely no connection to Russia whatsoever.
Get your geography straight and look into the history of the aircraft you model.
"The An-225 is a huge Russian-built cargo aircraft (and only one was ever made) and has become popular with "av-geeks" and aviation enthusiasts alike. "
An unfortunate mistake has got into your description - the An-225 is of Soviet production, not Russian. We kindly ask you to correct this error.
The description says that the plane is "Russian-built". This is obviously not true, because it was built by the Antonov Design Bureau, located in Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine. It was also designed in Kyiv and all the test flights were performed there. Now the aircraft is operated by the Ukrainian company Antonov airlines.
So, if the model designer makes mistakes in such simple things, I guess the quality of the model is also not very high, because you can expect even more mistakes.
