Pureflight's new Pitts S2A will be available at the end of the next week. There are pictures of it on the Pureflight web site, showing off the high detail of both the airplane itself and of the panels that will be available with it. The Pitts is a wonderful biplane used for aerobatics all over the world and many flightsim enthusiasts will be eagerly awaiting the Pureflight model.

Pitts S2A in FSX

The Pitts S2A is a beautiful aerobatic plane fabricated by Aviat Aircraft Inc and designed by Curtis Pitts. It is powered by a single Lycoming piston engine and widely used for training purposes and aerobatic competitions. It is a mini plane that has a wingspan of only 20 feet with a total wing area of 11 square metres. The maximum takeoff weight is 737 kg and it can achieve top speeds of 338 km/h in a short period of time. It can fly at an altitude of 21,000 feet and has a maximum range of 513 km.

Pureflight is expected to release the Pitts S2A package very soon and it will be available for Microsoft Flight Simulator customers. Some of the features include lower wing ailerons, flat aerofoil section, fixed pitch propellers, longer landing gears, improved rudders, and a front cockpit. Whether it is a unique snap roll or a quick series of loops this magnificent aerobatic biplane can do it all for you.

It also comes with a synchronous brushless electric motor that is connected to an integrated inverter to achieve maximum torque. The brushless motor is very rugged, increases efficiency, eliminates ionized sparks, improves reliability, and reduces noise levels. They are no windings on the rotor and it can be easily cooled by induction. Ailerons are attached to the trailing edge of the wings. This gives an increased lift and reduces drag on the plane. It also provides better stability and improved maneuverability to the plane. Side rudders are connected to the fins to counter adverse yaw movement and to turn the plane.

The gorgeous design, enhanced maneuverability, greater stability, increased safety and easy to fly features makes it the number one choice for both young and experienced flying enthusiasts. Check out the Pitts S2A and get ready for an aerobatic experience.
