Design group ARNZ has released the first aircraft in a series to be known as "AIS-AI". These aircraft integrate low-polygon count, for high frame rates in AI use, plus Animated Inbuilt Scenery (AIS). The first aircraft released, for FS2002 and FS2004, is the Concorde. For details, click on Read More.
AIS-AI represents a new era in flightsim AI aircraft by intergrating low-polygon yet detailed aircraft models, with Animated Inbuilt Scenery (AIS). By utilising a minimum of 3 level of detail models, optimised low polygon shadow models and more importanly the sensible use of textures to ensure as many 'clean' surfaces as possible to help with frame rates, AIS-AI heralds the next generation of AI aircraft models. But wait, theres more! Not only do AIS-AI aircraft feature animated inbuilt scenery, but now for the first time in FS2004 AI aircraft are pushed back with a push back vehicle during startup--talk about as real as it gets!
This new and exclusive series of aircraft models for both FS2004 and FS2002 will be released over the coming months, and starts with graceful lines of Concorde. Utilising this model, and for FS2004 users the pre compiled Concorde traffic BGL file which comes with the download, you can ensure this famous aircraft remains flying long after her real life sister ships have stopped. All AIS-AI aircraft also come with the exclusive ACFU (Aircraft Config File updater) utility. Micheal Corcoran has developed this software for use the AIS-AI fleet, which allows users to update their aircraft config files with a few mouse clicks when ever they install official AIS-AI texture packs.
