Scandinavian Airlines System’s DC-6B returns in four period-accurate liveries, celebrating the aircraft that pioneered SAS great-circle “polar” services from Copenhagen to Los Angeles via Greenland and Canada. Built for FS2004, it pairs authentic paintwork with refined flight dynamics and a classic propliner feel for vintage transatlantic routes.

The DC-6B's of SAS became famous for opening the first 'polar' (great circle) route from Europe to the USA, flying from Copenhagen to Los Angeles via Greenland and Canada. SAS used 14 DC-6B's in 1952-64. Four liveries (early, middle and late) included. Repaint by Jens B Kristensen of original model by Greg Pepper and Tom Gibson, flight dynamics by FS Aviator modified for FS2004 by Tom Gibson.

FS2004 add-on

  1. Extract the downloaded archive

    Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.

  2. Place files per readme

    FS2004 add-ons go into FS9\Aircraft\, FS9\Addon Scenery\, FS9\Gauges\, or FS9\Effects\.
