Scandinavian Airlines System Douglas DC-7C package for FS2004 recreates the classic long-range airliner that pioneered SAS polar flights, with four period-accurate liveries spanning early to late service. Includes refined flight dynamics and a model tailored for smooth operation, and requires CalClassic panel and sound downloads for a complete virtual cockpit experience.
The Douglas DC7C's of SAS became famous for opening the polar route from Europe to Japan, flying from Copenhagen to Tokyo via Anchorage. SAS used 15 DC-7C and two DC-7F in 1956-68. Four liveries (early, middle and late) included. Repaint by Jens B. Kristensen of original model by Greg Pepper and Tom Gibson, flight dynamics by FS Aviator, modified for FS2004 by Tom Gibson. Panel and sounds must be downloaded from calclassic.

Scandinavian Airlines System (SAS) used 20 Convair 440 Metropolitans in all during 1956-76. This package contains three liveries:
Ivar Viking (c/n 320) LN-KLB was the first Metropolitan in the SAS fleet, delivered to SAS (Scandinavian Airlines System) in may 1956. This model shows the aircraft in the original 1956 all-metal color scheme.
Ingemund Viking (c/n 502) OY-KPF was delivered to SAS in February 1957, and was finally retired in 1976. This model shows the aircraft in the color scheme of 1962.
Egil Viking (c/n 331) OY-KPB was delivered to SAS in June 1956, and was the last SAS Metropolitan to be retired in December 1976. Here it is shown in the final color scheme usen in 1967-76.
