FSX Beechcraft Turbocharged Baron B58

The 1979 Beechcraft Turbocharged Baron B58TC brings higher-altitude performance to Microsoft Flight Simulator X, with updated aircraft configuration and repainted textures based on the original Baron. Expect a 25,000-foot service ceiling and 200-knot-plus cruise above 10,000 feet, plus a familiar virtual cockpit and handling.

Beechcraft Turbocharged Baron B58. A Beech B58TC 1979 model, created by modifying the.cfg and texture file from the original. By Roberto Tschen.

Beechcraft Turbocharged Baron B58.

Beechcraft Turbocharged Baron B58.

This is a Beechcraft Baron B58TC from 1979 model, I created this model by modifying the .cfg and texture file from the original. I've tested the model several time and works very good. After so many testing I think is the most real Baron 58TC for FSX. Has a service ceiling of 25,000ft and can cruise above 200kts above 10,000ft.

Hope you like it, haven't tried the VMC speed with one engine but is the same from the original model.

Enjoy flying...

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D add-on
  1. Extract the downloaded archive

Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.
  2. Place files per the readme

Most FSX add-ons go into one of: SimObjects\Airplanes\, Addon Scenery\, Effects\, or Gauges\.
  3. Always read the included readme

Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.

THE BEST WAY TO INSTALL ANYTHING INTO FSX IS R CLICK ON THE FILE ONCE UNWRAPPED TAKE THE FILE AND SET ADMINISTRATOR AND THEN CHECK PERMISSIONS AS ADMIN AND USER, THIS USUALLY SETS EVERYTHING CORRECTLY. THIS ALSO IS PRETTY MUCH MANDATORY FOR CAPTAIN SIM PRODUCTS AND A FEW OTHERS, NOT DOING THIS IS ONE OF THE MAIN REASONS FOR CRASHES IN FSX.

    Engines won't start :-(

Engine not starting is due to a mistake in the aircraft.cfg file.

    Make the following update:

    power_scalar=1.0

Current config has this set below 1, which will not allow the engine to start.

I also made updates to the file to convert it to English by copying sections out of the original Baron folder. Careful not to overwrite all his engine/piston changes, else you have the typical Baron.

I downloaded the Beech Baron 58 Turbocharged bb_b58tc.zip, although the engine turns, it will not start. It looks like a fantastic plane because of its speed. How to I resolve the problem. Craig
