DNMM, Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, Nigeria, v2.1. Features fixed ILS, correct runway lights, added gates and more. By Usman Saleh.

This is a minor update to the major update of my previous offering on this famous West African airport. There was a mix-up in the parking codes as pointed out by an eagle-eyed enthusiast! Any more fixes/bugs will be included in the next major update.

In case you missed it, here are all the features of his AFCAD:

  • ILS offset fixed as well as some smaller details, like the fact that rwys 1L/1R are permanently closed to take-off and landings.
  • Corrected runway lightings/markings.
  • DME on Rwy 19R now working.
  • Right Hand Pattern Approach/Take-off only.
  • Added correct amount of gates at the International Terminal with parking codes for airlines that actually fly to DNMM (British Airways, Air France, KLM, Alitalia, Virgin Atlantic, Virgin Nigeria, Sabena, Swiss, Afriqiya, Emirates, Qatar Airways, South African Airways and more).
  • Domestic Terminal fully laid out and functional with domestic airline parkinting codes (Albarka, Chanchangi, ADC, Belleview, Kabo Air, etc).
  • Cargo parking fully functional.
  • Military parking (C130, MiG-21, MiG-29, Alpha Jet, Jaguar, Tornado).

To Install:

  1. Download and save anywhere to disk.
  2. Extract all files from the downloaded '.zip' file.
  3. Now COPY the NEW EXTRACTED 'AF2_DNMM.BGL' file and place it into 'Flight Simulator X/Addon Scenery/scenery' folder.
  4. When prompted, overwrite the previous 'AF2_DNMM.BGL' file.
  5. Start up the Flight sim and the changes will be present.

I've tried to the best of my ability to produce and much detail as possible but I'm sure something has been left out (there always is), so don't hesitate to contact me and I will include your observations in the next major update.

DNMM v3.0 is going to be massive.

Also, lots of airports have changed drastically on the past couple years like Abuja airport (DNAA) and I would love to do justice to it as its fast becoming a major hub in the region. I would be willing to join forces to with anyone that is good with AFCAD on this project. Currently I'm trying to get as much info on the NEW international terminal DNAA, it so hard to come by. Any info would be great.

Enjoy Always!

Usman Saleh

DNMM: The ILS for Runways 19L and 19R does not give precise horizontal alignments with the runways.

Mr. Usman Saleh, are you the same Usman Saleh who once attended FGCS and is a family friend tothe Suka family Iin the state where DNSO is located?

Hi Usman Saleh...hmmm...your name sounds familiar (did you once attend FGCSok? If so then my name should ring some bells). I don't understand what you mean by "the fact that rwys 1L/1R are permanently closed to take-off and landings." Aren't the DNMM runways 18L-36R and 18R-36L now? You said "Right Hand Pattern Approach/Take-off only" while I constantly see both left and right being carried out (I work in Lagos and stay at Surulere...well under the left-hand turn climbout path of many heavy jets using 18R). I look forward to your DNMM v3.0 and hope you'll do justice to DNAA, DNSO and many other DNs. Cheers and well done on what you've done so far. Thanks.
