This freeware package presents a Boeing 737-38J in TAROM colors, registration YR-BGC also known as "Constanta," featuring updated flight schedules and a refined air file for seamless performance within Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004. The aircraft, provided as a complete package on Fly Away Simulation, integrates a custom livery by Just Flight’s Traffic 2004 and was meticulously crafted by developer Daniel Nole.
Distinctive Romanian Livery and Registration
Marking TAROM’s heritage, this Boeing 737-38J showcases YR-BGC, which carries the name "Constanta." TAROM (Transporturile Aeriene Române) has long operated 737 variants across regional and international routes. This rendition highlights the airline’s characteristic blue and white aesthetic, with precise markings for ramp and passenger visibility. The attention to detail ensures an authentic appearance both in external views and when using AI traffic applications.

Expanded Flight Operations
Accompanying the livery, this add-on includes 64 TAROM flights tailored for Boeing 737-300 series and ATR42-500 aircraft. These routes were compiled to reflect realistic scheduling, covering domestic connections and extending to key European destinations. The ATR42-500’s inclusion ensures varied traffic flow, providing an immersive experience for those who appreciate close-to-real-world operation.
Refined Flight Dynamics
An updated AirFile, dated 23-04-04, delivers enhanced flight model accuracy. In particular, the engine thrust and control surfaces have been adjusted to replicate the Boeing 737-300’s handling profile. By matching real performance figures more closely, this freeware upgrade provides improved stability during climb, cruise, and final approach phases.
Optimized AI Behavior
For enthusiasts using Just Flight's Traffic 2004, the JFAIB733 folder has been revised to maintain consistent AI behavior. This modification helps balance aircraft density and arrival patterns, resulting in lively airport environments without overwhelming system resources.
Installation Steps
- Open Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004 and locate the JFAIB733 folder (found within the Aircraft directory).
- If preferred, create a backup of existing files before proceeding.
- Add the new tarom4 texture folder, place the supplied JFAIB733 AirFile, and update the corresponding aircraft configuration notes.
- Confirm successful installation by checking for the TAROM entry in the aircraft selection menu, as well as in AI traffic schedules.
This package, shared freely on Fly Away Simulation, unites accurate modeling and lively routes to deepen the realism of flying TAROM’s Boeing 737 series within Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004.
