The BT67 is a turboprop conversion of the classic Douglas DC-3/C-47. Version 2 has a new panel layout, some new gauges, and new flight dynamics. No 2D panel and aliased default sound only. The BT-67 is a general-purpose turbo-prop conversion of the classic Douglas DC-3/C-47. Replacing the original base pack, V2 has a new panel layout, some new gauges, and new flight dynamics. Three models and paints are included: ski-equipped "Polar 5" of the Alfred Wegener Institute, "158" of the Royal Thai Air Force, and AC-47T "Fantasma" of the Fuerza Aerea Colombiana. Note, no 2D panel and aliased default sound only. By Daniel Fuernkaess (paints and research), Manfred Jahn (models), Alexander M. Metzger (flight dynamics and documentation) and Hansjoerg Naegele (gauges, animation and documentation).

Minimum system-requirements: FSX SP2. Recommended: FSX Gold Edition or Acceleration.

INSTALLATION:

  1. If you have a previous installation of the Base Pack move folder Airplanes\Basler_BT67 to a backup location outside FSX.
  2. Extract the zip to a temporary folder or open it in Windows Explorer.
  3. Copy the three folders Effects, Sound, and SimObjects to your "Flight Simulator X" folder. Say Yes when asked whether to overwrite Effects or Sound files.

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D add-on

  1. Extract the downloaded archive

    Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.

  2. Place files per the readme

    Most FSX add-ons go into one of: SimObjects\Airplanes\, Addon Scenery\, Effects\, or Gauges\.

  3. Always read the included readme

    Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.

    This is honestly the best freeware plane in FSX. So much detail in the cockpit. Even the propellers are animated when you feather/reverse them! I would pay 25$ for this if it was payware.

    This is an incredible aircraft. Unfortunately, an April 23 2015 update to FSX Steam Edition seems to have disabled the fuel system controlled by the dll. I'm trying to find a way to contact Hans-Joerg Naegele to see if he's willing and able to update the dll to work properly.
