This repaint set adds an authentic Kenn Borek Air livery to the Basler BT-67, specifically tailored for Microsoft Flight Simulator X. The package offers remarkable Canadian-themed markings, reflecting Kenn Borek Air’s extensive work in polar and remote regions. Created by Daniel Fuernkaess (Cheese-Strike Repaints), this texture set celebrates the Basler BT-67's legacy as a modernized Douglas DC-3 conversion, often recognized for its turboprop engines, enhanced range, and reliable operations in challenging climates. The core Basler BT-67 model used here originates from Daniel Fuernkaess, Manfred Jahn, Alexander M. Metzger, and Hansjoerg Naegele, who jointly developed and refined the V2 base pack.

Historic Airframe with Polar Capabilities

The Basler BT-67 reengineers the classic DC-3 airframe with updated avionics and turboprop powerplants, ensuring dependable performance and improved fuel efficiency. Kenn Borek Air, a Canadian aviation specialist, employs these reinforced aircraft for operations in severe weather conditions. Their fleet travels across remote areas, including research facilities and isolated airfields in the Arctic and Antarctic. This repaint meticulously represents the registry (C-GJKB) and includes both a ski-equipped variant for snow-packed terrain and a conventional landing gear configuration.

Step-by-Step Installation Procedure

Baseline Setup

  1. Confirm you already have the Basler BT-67 base pack properly implemented in your Microsoft Flight Simulator X aircraft directory. This foundational model is essential for the repaint to function.
  2. Unpack the downloaded files into a temporary location (e.g., a new folder) using your preferred file manager.

Texture Integration

  1. Move the folder named "texture.C-GJKB" into your simulator’s Simobjects\Airplanes\Basler_BT67 directory.
  2. Launch a text editor and open the aircraft.cfg located in the same Basler_BT67 folder.
  3. Insert the corresponding [fltsim] entries (included below) after your existing listings. Replace x with the next sequential number in your configuration. Keep the [fltsim.x+1] entry consecutive as well.

Include the ski version:
