This freeware repaint immerses you in the unique livery of the Nicaraguan Air Force on Tim Conrad’s Antonov An-2T. It is intended for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004 enthusiasts seeking an authentic regional military texture from Central America. Steve Baldwin created this texture set and has thoughtfully adapted every detail to represent the appearance used by the Fuerza Aérea Nicaragüense, reflecting the real-world usage of the An-2T.
Special Aesthetic Details
The Antonio An-2, often called the “Annushka,” is one of the most recognizable single-engine biplanes designed in the late 1940s. Even though its configuration might seem dated, its ability to operate from unpaved fields, carry cargo, drop paratroops, and perform agricultural tasks showcases its remarkable versatility. This repaint by Steve Baldwin accentuates those robust features by replicating the markings seen on Nicaragua’s Air Force operations, a detail that offers both a historical and operational touch to your flights.

description = First appearing in 1947, the AN-2's was first dismissed as obsolete, due to it's biplane layout and homely looks. But the "Annushka" would prove the naysayers wrong.... and how! The biplane layout proved itself, and there wasn't much the AN-2 couldn't do, whether as a passenger, cargo, parachuting, crop spraying, or spec ops plane. Over 20,000 were produced, mostly in Poland. Not bad for an "obsolete" design.
Base Model Requirement
This repaint package does not include the original aircraft model. To take advantage of this livery, download and install Tim Conrad’s Antonov An-2T base model separately. You can locate the necessary files in the Fly Away Simulation library under the name ANT2PPP.ZIP.
Creatorship Acknowledgments
All credit for the foundational Antonov An-2T model remains with Tim Conrad, whose design work made this repaint possible. The artistic Nicaraguan Air Force texture is solely by Steve Baldwin, reflecting his dedication to accurately reproducing real-world aviation schemes.
