Douglas DC-4 (KNA), registration HL-106, in a livery from the late 1950's. Textures only; requires DC4_V21.ZIP. Model by Jens B. Kristensen. Repaint by Dennis Kim.
This colour scheme was used by Korean National Airlines(former National Airline of Korea and Mother company of Korean Air). This scheme was also used in KNA's Douglas DC-3 and L-749. KNA's DC-4 was first used in International flight to Japan and HongKong via Taiwan.(Also flew direct routes to Hong kong from Seoul) from Mid 1950s. After KNA has acquired L-749 from Lockheed Most of International flights were operated by L-749 and DC-4 were used for short haul International flights to Japan and used in High capacity Domestic Routes. HL-106 was also used in various charter flights.(Carrying Korean Olympic Athletes Team to Melbourne in 1956, Carrying Korean War Orphans to Portland, Oregon in 1957 and more). These DC-4s were later used by Korean Air Lines after KNA bankrupted and became Korean Air Lines. DC-4s retired in 1964 when F-27s were first introduced.
