FSX PA-42 Piper Cheyenne 400LS The PA-42-1000 Piper Cheyenne 400LS is a high performance pressurised turboprop corporate aircraft seating up to nine passengers & is powered by two 1000shp AiResearch (Garrett) TPE-331-14A engines normally driving four-bladed Dowty rotol propellers, this model features improved performance five blade constant speed composite MT-propellers increasing max speed to over 400 knots.Gmax model with detailed interior & full animation of major parts.
Uses default B350 2D panel & VC. Layered PSD paintkit included. Model & master textures by Paul Craig.
Additional features that I have included in the model are When the aircraft is parked with the engines off, the engine & pitot tube covers along with the nose wheel chocks are visible, these also show up in the FSX preview screen.
Installation:
- Unzip downloaded files to a temporary folder
- Copy & paste the "PA-42 Piper Cheyenne 400LS" folder into your Airplanes folder located by default as below:
OS (C)/Program Files(x86)/Microsoft Games/Microsoft Flight Simulator X/SimObjects/Airplanes - Then open "PA-42 Effects" folder & copy & paste the "FX File" files into your FSX "Effects" folder & the "fx_pa-42" bitmap image into the effects texture folder located by default as below:

Door Operation
Shift+E - Opens port airstair.
Shift+E+1 - Opens port baggage door.

The Cheyenne is a great aircraft. I flew on over 40 test flights as a Q.A. group leader at Lakeland facility.
This works great on p3dv4.
Plane starts out with the nose way up and the tail against the ground. Unrealistic flight model. No drag after deploying flaps & gear. Looks nice.
The sound files are not included in this download
