How to install this mod

FSX / P3D aircraft

  1. Extract the downloaded archive

    Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.

  2. Copy aircraft files into SimObjects

    Place the aircraft folder inside FSX\SimObjects\Airplanes\. The folder must contain an aircraft.cfg file. Effects go into FSX\Effects\; gauges go into FSX\Gauges\.

  3. Verify in FSX

    Launch FSX, go to Free Flight → Select Aircraft and find your new aircraft under its manufacturer.

  4. Always read the included readme

    Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.

    Bewildered in the left seat.. upon startup, either keyboard or Saitek multi-panel, this bird jumps up into the air a few thousand feet, starts to spin, and is uncontrollable. No resolution other than to quit FSX. Anybody had or heard of this problem? Any suggestions?

    Okay, I haven't encountered any of the problems previously reported! However, sounds left a lot to be desired, and when I looked to see what sounds the developer was using, turned out to be Beech Baron? Come on, you could have done better than that! When I fly an aircraft with a Radial engine, I want it to sound like a radial engine! I got rid of the baron sound (sounded a little sissy for this bad boy) and copied the sound files from a DeHavilland Beaver. Now, that's what I was talking about. A little rumble and this bad boy sounds like a radial! I'm just getting started with this, I hope it turns out to be a "keeper" but only time will tell!

    Got the Cessena 195 "Shakey Jake" installed and works just fine except for a couple of problems that I hope someone can help me with. One is the landing lights. they turn on and spot but they stay up in the wing and will not swing down to shine on the ground in front of the plane. They only put a spot down on the ground under the wing. If any one can help me with that I'd appreciate it. Problem two is I can be flying along just fine, then all of sudden the engine will go from 50% throttle down to 0% and you can't get it to correct and come back up. Only thing you can do even after trying a mid air shut down and restart is to land somewhere then restart the engine and take off again and continue your flight.

    This file doesn't come with an installer application - you have to manually place the files into the correct folders. When does this message appear? When you load FSX?

    In trying to install this aircraft I get a message, "Application cannot be installed because the installer file is damaged, try and obtain a new installer file from the author." Would appreciate any help you could provide.
