1)After downloading the zip, locate it, and extract the file to a temp folder.
2)Copy the A-1J Folder over to your FSX Aircraft folder.
3)Copy the A-1.cab gauge file over to your FSX gauges folder.
4)Copy the effects file "fx_navyel" to your FSX effects folder. This is a yellow nav light for the tail sides.
5)If you want some gunfire effects, copy the fx_mzlflsh_s.fx effects file to your FSX effects folder.
6) File copying. To keep this download tidy, and easier to up/download, I included the common files in only one texture folder, the default "texture" folder. You will need to copy these common files to the other texture folders.
a1_01_spec.dds
a1_02_spec.dds
a1_03.dds
a1_03_lm.dds
a1_03_spec.dds
a1_glass.dds
a1_glass_lm.dds
a1_panels.dds
a1_panels_lm.dds
a1_panels_spec.dds
a1_reflect.dds
That "texture.cfg" file thing doesn't always work for me, hence this manual copying. I know it's a real pain....
NOTAMS:
Underwing Stores Visibility System.
On the left console, aft of the engine controls, are three red pull levers. These are marked "OUTBOARD", "INBOARD", and "CTR"
By pulling and pushing these levers, you can control which underwing stores are visible or invisible.
Don't forget to reset your plane's Fuel and Payload setting to match the visual model.
The center store is a 150 gallon tank, weighing about 900LBS. I use the "release external tank 1" key command to quickly alter my fuel level.
The inboard stores are two napalm tanks, weighing about 1740 LBS.
The outboard stores are the rocket pods, and SUU-14 dispencer tubes, weighing about 3000 LBS. total.
The Master Arm Switch, on the lower panel, is used to turn the gunsight on/off.
If you installed the muzzleflash effects file, the "smoke" key will activate the gunfire.
TOP SECRET!!!
There is a top secret advanced technology navigation device hidden in the pull-out chartboard in the panel. The Water Rudder key will access this device.
Also, the wings fold, and the tailhooks lowers.
