Mt. Lassen Scenic Mission, California (CA). Includes add-on scenery enhancements for the area including a high detail Chester Rogers Airport (O05), effects (smoke at the lumber mill and steam at Bumpass Hell), and a photoreal rendition of the Cinder Cone. This package consists of two parts:

1) Add on scenery enhancements for the area including a high detail Chester Rogers Airport (O05), effects (smoke at the lumber mill and steam at Bumpass Hell), and a photoreal rendition of the Cinder Cone.

2) Geofa Mt. Lassen Scenic Tour is a mission which combines some Real World flying techniques in the Baron along with a scenic narrated tour of this beautiful place.

**IMPORTANT**- Both parts are necessary for this add in to function properly

INSTALLATION:

To install the scenery:

1) Copy the Chester folder in to your fsx/Addon Scenery

2) When starting the sim- click "Settings" then "Scenery Library". Click the "Add Area" button, double click the "Addon Scenery" folder, single click on the "Chester" folder and click "Ok".

To install the mission:

Copy the Mt. Lassen Scenic Tour to your fsx/Missions/Just for Fun folder.

RUNNING THE MISSION:

Select "Missions" from your main fsx startup screen, Click "Just for fun" under Categories, and then select the mission Mt. Lassen Scenic Tour.

Additional instructions:

1) You may need to adjust your sound settings so the voice can be heard properly
2) You may wish to have the Mission Compass and Pointer on so as not to stray outside mission parameters
3) The mission was created with the default Baron which is a little underpowered. Using any other flight model may make the mission not work right-or at worse too easy! :-)
4) Airspeed control is important-if you get "yelled" at too many times it may influence the timing of the mission-if you miss a "gate" due to this fly back to the gate and continue.

NOTES:

This is a verbatim (except I was flying a C172 and not a Baron) copy of a Real World Instructional flight I did in 1991 as a brand new ppl seeking some mountain flying experience.
