Carrier Group Oceana v4.0 places a detailed naval task force 12 NM northeast of Oceana NAS in Microsoft Flight Simulator X, featuring carriers, cruisers, and destroyers with working arrestor cables and deck helicopters. Each carrier includes NDB navigation plus LOC/DME guidance for realistic approaches and carrier practice.

Flight Simulator X Prepar3D

Carrier Group Oceana v4.0. A naval fleet located 12 nm northeast of Oceana NAS including carriers, cruisers, destroyers. Each carrier has an NDB and localizer.

Extract To desktop, Move KNTC_ADE_TM FSXF-CarrierGroupOceanaPUB V4.0 folder out of the unziped/extracted Folder to your FSX-MAIN Directory- Addon Scenery folder. Activate through the simulators Settings-Scenary Library,> Add Area> KNTC_ADE_TM FSXF-CarrierGroupOceanaPUB V4.0 , Click ok.

(Updated,This is the same as V3.0 But I've changed all scenery objects to Very Dense except the two carriers, and spaced ships out to address a common frame rate complaint)

-Carriers/Cruisers/Destroyers,(Arrestor cables work) Choopers on decks, Added LOC/DME Carrier1-R1 108.95Mhz Ident IABA Cat II, Carrier2-R2 109.30Mhz Ident IABB Cat III, NO BACK COARSE OR GLIDE SLOPE. The airport name is FSXF-CarrierGroupOceana.(KNTC) The NDB(none directional beacon) frequency is 401.0Khz, range 100 NM. VOR-IDENT:OCG. carrier Group is 12 NM. North-East of Oceana NAS.

You can't spawn on the decks of the Carriers.

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D scenery

  1. Extract the downloaded archive

    Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.

  2. Place scenery in Addon Scenery

    Create a folder under FSX\Addon Scenery\ containing scenery and texture sub-folders.

  3. Activate in Scenery Library

    In FSX, go to Settings → Scenery Library → Add Area. Higher priority means it overrides lower entries for the same location.

  4. Always read the included readme

    Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.
