Discover an immersive freeware expansion for Microsoft Flight Simulator X that meticulously re-creates Biratnagar Airport (VNVT) in eastern Nepal, complete with unique animated elements and a range of supplementary ground details. Developed by Antoine Calleja, this add-on aims to deliver greater realism when operating in Nepal’s low-lying Terai region.

Detailed Characteristics of Biratnagar in the Simulator

Biratnagar is situated near Nepal’s border with India, serving as a vital gateway for domestic and regional flights. In this custom scenery, distinctive elements such as animated birds circling above and well-structured hangars combine to produce a more authentic atmosphere. The developer meticulously aligned these additions using ADE9X [Airport Design Editor], which incorporates up-to-date satellite references for accurate positioning and ground layering.

Technical Setup and Folder Placement

To incorporate this scenery into your simulator, extract and place all related files directly into the Addon Scenery/Scenery directory located under your main Microsoft Flight Simulator X installation path. After the files have been copied, confirm in your simulator’s settings that the scenery library has recognized the new location, ensuring proper loading of the enhanced airport environment.
