Scenery Enhancements For Ohio.
Although I am very satisfied with the default FSX scenery, I wanted to modify some of the Ohio scenery, and thought I would share the my enhancements with others.
Here is what is in the scenery package:
OH17 - If you like small airports this is a great place to fly that Cessna 152 or tricyle. The only thing I can't get right is the maple trees: they don't change with the seasons. But since you shouldn't be using a grass strip when the ground is covered with snow, I guess that's OK. The Hoover Reservoir bgl file puts the two large electric power line towers into the default scenery, by Hoover Reservoir.
KOSU - I adjusted the parking for aircraft, got rid of the "woodsy" look and other autogen scenery around the airport, and adjusted some of the structures at the west of the airport to look a bit better than the default scenery. This same bgl file also puts a stadium at Ohio State University, gets rid of the default large building on campus, and puts some grass down where OSU campus is.
KCMH - Got rid of the autogen woods and structures that should not be there, added some parking lots, made the hangar larger where Lane Aviation is, put the old unused tower back on the terminal building. Not perfect, but much better.
KLHQ - Puts the water tower into the default scenery, to the west of the airport.
3W2 - Puts in more aircraft parking spaces at the airport in Put In Bay. There are now some boats in the harbor. I also added an object to represent the Peace Monument at the center of the island. If you get too close, you will see it is actually a control tower. So, don't get too close! It is fine from a mile or more away.
KSKY - Added a couple of parking spots at the airport, but mainly this was to add some amusement park structures at neaby Cedar Point.
I40 - Just adjusted the parking for General Aviation.
KMGY - After completing the tutorial for ADE, which uses this airport, I have this file, which considerably improves the aircraft parking. So here it is, if you want it.
NOTE: I use a payware program to create and enhance FSX aviation traffic. Some of these airports won't have much, or any, activity if you have the default FSX only. There are payware as well as freeware programs available, if you are interested in that.
I also have USA roads, and the FSGenesis terrain mesh, which add quite a bit to the default scenery.

INSTALLATION:
1.Unzip the file "Ohiox.zip" to a folder of your choice.
2. After you have unzipped the folder, find the destination folder of the unzip process.
3. Look inside that folder and you will see another folder named "OhioX." Just to check, make sure that there are two folders named "scenery" and "texture."
4. Take the OhioX folder with "scenery" and "texture" in it and move it inside of your FSX folder.
5. Open FSX and go to "Settings."
6. Now click on "Scenery Library."
7. A box should pop up. Click "Add Area."
8. Find your folder named "OhioX" that is within the FSX folder.
9. Single-click on that folder. Click "OK."
10. Now click "OK" once more.
11. I recommend that you keep this scenery area near the top of the active scenery.
11. The airport modifications will load the next time you start FSX.
