FSX Vickers Valiant Update

This is an update for FSX acceleration of the Vickers Valiant by Mike Stone. The author has updated the flight dynamics, changed gauges on the original panel and given it a second panel made from a modified panel background by Phil Perrott, so you can choose which panel you like better. No virtual cockpit. You need the original aircraft for this update to work (VALIANTC.ZIP) By Bob Chicilo.

Unzip to a folder of your choice. After backing up your air, aircraft.cfg, and panel.cfg files, replace them with the ones in this update. The panel.cfg file is in the folder named original panel. Copy the pictures to the aircraft folder. Copy the panel.val folder to the aircraft folder. Copy the gauges and effects to the main gauges and effects folders. No need to overwrite anything already there.

If you have not already done so, copy the .cab files from the default aircraft panel folders that have them to the main FS gauges folder. For some the .cab flies will be .zip files, as .cab files are a type of zip file.

The Concorde gauge is the only one not supplied and it can be found on the Internet.

The green textured aircraft will have the new panel. The white textured aircraft will have the old panel. Once you try them both, you can choose whether to keep both or use only one. To add the new panel to the white textured aircraft, add, val, after the panel= line of that paint section of the aircraft.cfg file. To only use the original panel, delete the, val, from the panel= line of the paint section of the green textured aircraft.

This aircraft needs throttle to keep the speed up after lowering the gear and flaps until you are on short final.
