Real-Ops BerlinVATSIM have announced their Berlin Real Operations event, where flight simulation enthusiasts can meet online to fly a simulated real-world-flight departing from an airport in Berlin, Germany. This will also feature virtual ATC.

Berlin, capital of Germany: a really busy airspace with its two inner-city airports. On Saturday, July 25th the VATSIM skies of Berlin will also be really busy. On this day you are kindly invited to join the Berlin Real Operations event. Book your simulated real-world-flight to depart from or arrive at one of Berlins airports. Flights will be available from 0900 UTC to 2100 UTC.

The Regional Group Berlin is waiting for you to provide service on 12 ATC-stations in and around Berlin. Most of the air traffic controllers will join together in one room to offer the best service and you can watch them live via webcam.

You may visit our 2 airports, each with its own characteristics.

Berlin Schonefeld (EDDB) in the south with runway 25L/07R. The airport has growing traffic numbers for all kinds of aircraft, charter flights and low-budget airlines. The runway accommodates every type of aircraft starting from C152 up to the Airbus 380. It is also the place for one of the largest air shows in Europe, the ILA.

Berlin Tegel (EDDT) on the northern rim is the busiest airport with all kinds of national and international traffic. Short taxiways, several apron positions, gates and two runways 26L/08R and 26R/08L, both suited for all kinds of aircraft, are the key features of this beautiful field.

Please book your flight in advance. If you were not able to find a suitable flight, you are invited to visit Berlin on a non-scheduled flight as well.

Also VFR-traffic is more than welcome! VFR is a major part of the real Berlin.

We are looking forward to see you on our scopes!
