FSX SIAI 208M

SIAI 208M. Derived from the S205, in 1968 the S.208 version became available, produced basically as a five-seat, more powerful version of the S.205, with some 60% of its structural components in common. By February 1973 approximately 80 S.208s had been delivered to customers in Europe and Africa, including 44 S.208Ms to the Italian Air Force for liaison and training duties. A version for general duties, including agricultural and ambulance work, was developed as the S.208AG. The package features very accurate visual model and VC, highly reflective metallic skin and full animations. The panel background has been created entirely from scratch, based on photographic material found on the net and some photos from an official operating manual. Most of the gauges are default and a few gauges have been created by the author. Included in this model there is also a virtual cockpit, with working essential flight instruments and animated flight controls, plus camera views. By Italo D'Attomo.

You MUST also insert the enclosed 'GougeSound.dll' in the Main FSX folder , otherwise you will experience an FS crash!!

INSTALLATION
============
Please DO NOT use installers.
Unzip this file into your Flight Simulator X\SimObjects\airplanes folder and you will find the "SIAI_208M" folder with the usual subfolders, including a 'GougeSound.dll', then proceed as follows:

1) Copy the enclosed 'GougeSound.dll' then Paste in your main Flight Simulator X folder (if you don't have it yet).

I think this should be the end of the installation procedure.

TIPS
====
To operate the Engine compartment doors, please use the keys for the 'Wingfold', (check the quick reference key commands).

Please do not hesitate to use elevator trim as required to fly the plane hands-off.
Flying on virtual cockpit you can move the eyepoint as required for better vision (check your eyepoint keyboard on FS options\controls\assignements for the keys required to move the 'eyepoint of view' (left/right/up/down/back or forward).
For Camera definitions, please use ''A'' key to cycle views within a category and 'S' to change category (check the quick reference key commands).
Simmers using FSX Acceleration might see the cabin glasses somewhat ''glossy'' please switch the lights ON/OFF once.

NOTE:
I installed succesfully this model on my FSX Deluxe Edition without installers, simply following the above procedure.

Note 1: Loading the aircraft for the first time in the FSX you will get an 'unknown author' message for each of my gauges.
Click 'YES' if you like my gauges or 'NO' if you don't. If you say 'NO' you will not have my instruments displayed on the panel, except the default ones.
Note 2: You will get a second message asking you to "trust" the related gauge; if you click "Yes" when asked, you will never be asked again.

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BOTH MESSAGES .

Note 3: If you want to see a different panel, copy or aliase a panel of a single engine prop. of your choice: in this case, the VC will not be shown correctly.
You might also create a panel by removing my gauges and installing your preferred.

Note 4: Installing & using this package is at your own risk.

Note 5: FSX-Settings\Display\Graphics; selecting ''Light_Bloom'' check box, in the global options window, might not be compatible with this model and the selected plane may not appear.
