FSX California Central Coast (Revision 4) Scenery

California Central Coast scenery refreshes key Central California airports and landmarks in FSX, adding the Estrella Warbird Museum at Paso Robles plus animated airport surveillance radars at Santa Maria, Vandenberg, and Santa Barbara, alongside custom lighting and broad detail tweaks. Requires earlier CCCFSX revisions, or the all-in-one compilation package.

California Central Coast Scenery (CA), revision #4. This revision adds the Estrella Warbird Museum to PRB airport, animated airport survellance radars to SMX, VBG and SBA airports, custom lighting and several miscellaneous tweaks at most areas of interest. Previous installation of CCCFSX.ZIP, CCCFSXR1.ZIP, CCCFSXR2.ZIP and CCCFSXR3 is required. If you don't have these files installed you can download CCCFSXC.ZIP which is a compilation of CCCFSX that includes all four revisions. By Al Wheeler.

Requires dependencies

This add-on may require the following files to function properly. If this is a repaint, the dependency below is likely the base aircraft package.

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D scenery
  1. Extract the downloaded archive

Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.
  2. Place scenery in Addon Scenery

Create a folder under FSX\Addon Scenery\ containing scenery and texture sub-folders.
  3. Activate in Scenery Library

In FSX, go to Settings → Scenery Library → Add Area. Higher priority means it overrides lower entries for the same location.
  4. Always read the included readme

Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.

Finding the scenery

Use these coordinates to fly directly to this location once the mod is installed.

Launch FSX or Prepar3D and use Flights → Load to open the downloaded .pln file. Your aircraft will be positioned at this location.

    Al,

I just installed your Central Coast scenery. Nice job!

Avila Bay is sweet. Love the lighthouse and Diablo.

Just south of Lake Cachuma you have the private runway at Lucas Ranch. That is where I fly RC airplanes with the Santa Barbara RC club.

VAFB is nice, also. Have to laugh at the B-52s! If you ever tweak this scenery again, the "tracking station" on the north end of the base makes a nice landmark: Two large white antenna covers ("golf balls") and some buildings on top of a hill. I worked there 8 years.

Thanks for the hard work and for sharing!
