The sky overwhelming Romagna will soon be brightened up by a new spectacular event. From the 14th of September 2007 to the 16th, "La Spreta" airport of Ravenna will host Fly Fest, Ravenna's International Expo & Airshow.
It is a real festival dedicated first of all to light and sport aircraft, but it also focuses on the whole aviation world, thanks to the precious collaboration of prestigious institutions as the Faculty of aerospace engineering in Forli and other important authorities.
The event has been promoted by Ravenna's Airplane club 'F.Baracca' and it has been organized by Blu Nautilus, an event and show planning agency that last year successfully revived the CAP (Popular aviation club) meeting in Ferrara.
Various initiatives will take place at FlyFest: - an interesting fair where aircraft companies will have large areas at their disposal to give their customers the possibility to test their products; - an air show that will take place on Saturday the 15th and Sunday the 16th of September in the afternoon, when both Italian and foreign acrobatic teams will amaze the audience with their performance. Finally, for the first time in Italy, historical World War Two planes from all over Europe will be on display.
Other ingredients of the show will be: skydivers, gliders, helicopters, model-making, virtual flights... A joyful meeting for all pilots and aviation lovers.
An interesting conference will take place at the Faculty of aerospace engineering at the University of Bologna, in Forli: Italian aerospace experts will discuss about General Aviation, focusing in particular on the reutilization of dirigibles and on modern technologies applicable to these old airships.
All these initiatives added to Romagna's long tradition and strong passion for airplanes will make of Flyfest one of the most important events of the aircraft sector in 2007.
