The 10th Virtual World Aerobatic Championship is scheduled for September 2012.

Exciting Simulations has released a special edition boxed CD version of Space Shuttle Mission 2007.  Released on the 29th anniversary of the first shuttle mission, this boxed CD edition will include all available missions and features that have been developed to date.

GoFlight has released TQ-6 Advanced Throttle System designed to match the throttle in a Boeing 737 NG cockpit. GoFlight has also released a new set of handles that can be used with the original TQ-6 throttle.

In March 2010, Exciting Simulations announced the release of a free Mission Pack v5.20 for the Space Shuttle Mission 2007 simulator.

It was announced on 21st January 2010 that flight simulation is available in Google Earth through GEvision.

GEvision is a Google Earth based scenery engine which a flight simulator can directly link to in applications such as Microsoft Flight Simulator (MSFS) or XPlane, or any other applications that generate coordinate data.

GLB Flight Products announced its release of 737NG Overhead Panel on 19th January 2010.

Boeing 737NG overhead panel is a new addition to GLB Flight Products’ line of home cockpit components. According to GLB Flight Products, their mission is to supply high quality parts to flight simulator designers.

iEntertainment announced in January 2010 its release of Warbirds Dogfights.  Warbirds Dogfights puts the user in the pilot's seat of the greatest WWII air combat airplanes. The simulation can be used in massive multiplayer mode online or single player offline.

Virtual Air Traffic Simulation Network (VATSIM) announced its release of Global Ratings Policy Version 2 (GRP2) on the 1st of January 2010.  VATSIM is a popular online multiplayer flying service with a strong membership base of 180,000.

Hot on the heels of Flight Sim Museum v2.x comes, yes, you guessed it: Flight Sim Museum v3.0!  Version 1.0 was a static html web site which started on four pages in 1998 and grew, and grew, and then grew a whole lot more.

DBS Studio, developers of flight simulation add-ons have announced an update for their Universal TCAS system which fixes some small bugs and adds more definitions for some freeware and payware aircraft in Microsoft Flight Simulator X and 2004.

(November 3rd 2009) YS Air Shows are working on upgrading virtual air show technology. For the first time in it's 10 year history, YSFlight is to live stream the Virtual Cleveland National Air Show November 7th and 8th.

The FSWeekend is on its final approach. As every year, IVAO will be represented the 7th and 8th of November in the National Aviation Theme park Aviodrome, Lelystad. Members from all around the globe will travel to the polders of the Netherlands to join and to participate with this event.

Despite Shoreham Airport being battered by a 25kt wind (gusting to 35kt!) the inaugural Flight1 Open Day went ahead on October 3 and was judged a huge success by the visitors and staff alike.  Nearly 500 visitors braved the conditions and enjoyed a packed program of events ranging from the latest flight simulator software and hardware through to an eclectic mix of visiting aircraft.

AirlineSim launches second game world - "Croydon".  It has been three months since AirlineSim, the brower-based airline simulation game, took to the international stage by launching its first game world published solely in English.
