UASO announced in January 2010 that their Constellation-1 Mission was completed successfully.

On January 20th 2010, UASO started its Constellation program with the launch of a Titan-34D vehicle which was carrying a Boeing BSS 702 satellite. The program was a success and everything went according to plan.

It was announced on 21st January 2010 that flight simulation is available in Google Earth through GEvision.

GEvision is a Google Earth based scenery engine which a flight simulator can directly link to in applications such as Microsoft Flight Simulator (MSFS) or XPlane, or any other applications that generate coordinate data.

Hot on the heels of Flight Sim Museum v2.x comes, yes, you guessed it: Flight Sim Museum v3.0!  Version 1.0 was a static html web site which started on four pages in 1998 and grew, and grew, and then grew a whole lot more.

After a total reorganisation of the subject matter which, after 20 years of studying the topic, took about another 2 years, I moved the Museum to the Joomla Content Management System.

Despite Shoreham Airport being battered by a 25kt wind (gusting to 35kt!) the inaugural Flight1 Open Day went ahead on October 3 and was judged a huge success by the visitors and staff alike.  Nearly 500 visitors braved the conditions and enjoyed a packed program of events ranging from the latest flight simulator software and hardware through to an eclectic mix of visiting aircraft.
