Kingsford Smith Int'l Airport (YSS), Australia. These four .bgl files are only for the FSX default airport: two with crosswind runway 7/25 operating and two without. All have airport views from inside the control tower, many gates corrected at the international terminal, cargo area and the domestic terminal area and a medical heli pad added. By Ray Smith.
My thanks to Jim Vile and Reggie Fields for their information to get these files operating in FSX, but there's still room for improvement, fully tested with Ultimate Traffic but not required.
There are 4 BGL files: FSX_yssy_cw_16.BGL, FSX_yssy_cw.BGL, FSX_yssy_16.BGL, FSX_yssy.BGL.
NOTE: PLEASE ONLY USE ONE BGL FILE AT A TIME. I.E. Make sure there is only ONE 'YSSY' FILE in the addon scenery/scenery folder at any time, delete any others.
The 'cw' versions are the Xwind rwy 7/25 activated, the '16' versions will only operate from the base ends of the rwy/rwy's. For those running high % of AI traffic I recommend using either that are designated '16', either of these two will improve your traffic flow, IMHO, but the choice is yours.
NOTE: When using ATIS with the 'cw' files you will hear the fake rwy's, this is the method used in activating Xwind rwy's and should be ignored.
To Install:
1. Simply take the file of your choice and put it into Flight Simulator X\Addon Scenery\Scenery Folder.
2. Start up the Flight sim and the changes will be present.
To Uninstall:
1. Delete the file of your choice and the default will then be active.
I hope you like the improvements, this is only basic gate change with a few more changes, rwy centre lighting added etc. If any MS errors are here they will still remain until an AFCAD style program is available.
TIP: When at YSSY in tower view, go to your control settings and look for the "View track/pan Toggle". Allocate a key stroke to it Ii allocated a button on my X52) this will unlock the user aircraft, then you can use the hat switch to pan 360 degrees around the airport hitting the key stroke again (in my case a button) will return you to the user aircraft position.
Happy flying.
