Bradley Int'l Airport

Bradley International Airport (KBDL) in Windsor Locks, Connecticut gets a practical realism pass for Microsoft Flight Simulator X, adding jetways to the default terminal and refining airline gate assignments to better mirror real-world operations. The update also removes the airport boundary fence for cleaner visuals in overcast conditions while keeping the stock layout intact.

Flight Simulator X Prepar3D

Bradley Int'l Airport (KBDL), Windsor Locks, Connecticut (CT). Adds jetways and makes airline gate assignments as close to real as possible, given that the layout does not match the current airport. By W.C. Schulz.

The default KBDL scenery did not come with jetways. This FSX-AFCAD adds jetways to the default airport, and makes airline gate assignments as close as can be, given that the scenery layout is not current with the new airport. (I'm working on a new version that will use "Instant Scenery" to make adjustments. I've also eliminated the boundary fence around the airport, as that tends to show through overcast layers and makes it easy to "cheat" in bad weather.

To install:

There is 1 BGL file: FSX_Bradley Intl KBDL_DEFAULT_JWY.

  1. Take the BGL file and place it into: Flight Simulator X/Addon Scenery/Scenery Folder.
  2. Start up the Flight sim and the changes should be evident.

To Uninstall:

  1. Delete the BGL file and the default will then be active.

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D scenery

  1. Extract the downloaded archive

    Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.

  2. Place scenery in Addon Scenery

    Create a folder under FSX\Addon Scenery\ containing scenery and texture sub-folders.

  3. Activate in Scenery Library

    In FSX, go to Settings → Scenery Library → Add Area. Higher priority means it overrides lower entries for the same location.

  4. Always read the included readme

    Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.
