Experience a carefully refined airport environment on Praslin Island in the Seychelles, crafted by Alpha India Group and developer Kai P. Kamjunke. This add-on brings faithfully arranged apron details, adjusted ground layouts, and lively parking assignments to both FS2004 (Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004) and FSX (Microsoft Flight Simulator X). It enhances traffic flow, ensures realistic ground movement, and provides an overall more authentic flight simulation experience for this scenic tropical region.

Key Revisions to the Airfield Layout

  • Revised apron geometry and details: Drawn from thorough Google Earth data and Jeppesen references.
  • Taxiway texture overhaul: Subtle alterations to replicate real-world surfacing nuances.
  • Dedicated GA ramps: Improved parking allocation for general aviation activity.
  • Optimized vehicle roadway paths: Designed to reduce interference with departing aircraft and minimize ground delays.
  • Realistic taxi signage: Based on local airport standards and placement specifics.
  • Supplementary buildings and scenery objects: Introduced to breathe life into the overall environment.

Essential Tools and Acknowledgments

Airport Design Editor (ADE) formed the backbone of this scenery’s development, courtesy of Jon Masterson and his team. Their latest version—1.47.07—facilitates both FSX and FS9 design workflows. Meanwhile, Jim Vile’s graphic approach editor further refines the process and has been integral to Alpha India Group’s ongoing projects. Sincere gratitude goes out to these teams for their exceptional freeware resources.

Important Considerations

This custom airport configuration may not align with default island terrain. For best results, it is recommended to install the companion landclass enhancement, named aig_seychelles_landclass_fsx_default.zip, which focuses on geographical data for the Seychelles.

Installation Process

  1. Remove any existing FSPP AFD/Afcad entries found within your “Addon Scenery/scenery” directory.
  2. Place the file AIG_FSPP_ADEX_KPK_Default.BGL into the same “Addon Scenery/scenery” folder, and then restart FSX.

Uninstallation Steps

  1. Locate and remove AIG_FSPP_ADEX_KPK_Default.BGL from your “Addon Scenery/scenery” folder, then initiate another FSX restart.
