FSX / P3D AFCAD file

AFCAD File For CYVR Update

Vancouver International Airport (CYVR) receives a clean shoreline approach environment with autogen removed along the western perimeter for Runways 8L and 8R, plus Swishwash Island in the bay. Built in Airport Design Editor for the default field in Microsoft Flight Simulator X, it also complements existing CYVR AFCAD layouts.

Vancouver International Airport, British Columbia, Canada. This small file was designed with the latest version of ADE (Airport Design Editor) and made only for the FSX default airport. Please note that this file "only" removes the autogen from the shoreline on the western side of the airport, the approach side to 8L and 8R. This file also removes the autogen from the island out in the bay (called "Swishwash Island) on the south west side. You can also use this file if you are using the AFCAD file for the default airport CYVR_ADE_RS_FSX.ZIP. By Ray Smith.

Requires dependencies

This add-on may require the following files to function properly. If this is a repaint, the dependency below is likely the base aircraft package.

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D AFCAD file
  1. Extract the downloaded archive

Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.
  2. Place AFCAD file

AFCAD files (AF2_*.bgl or AFX_*.bgl) go into FSX\Addon Scenery\Scenery\ or a dedicated AFCAD folder you create.
  3. Always read the included readme

Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.
