Editorial

Although I’d never even heard of the Seahawk before trying it out, I have to say that I have come away a big fan of this wonderful piece of kit.

It’s deadly and effective in terms of the precision that it offers – I was really shocked to see how easy it was to fly around in. most helicopters, for me, can be a bit hit and miss so I was expecting another rough ride when I first stepped into the cockpit of this chopper. That being said, it was one of the most comfortable learning experiences I’ve had in a while!

Easy to fly in and even more simplistic to manage using and getting to grips with, the Sea Hawk is a fantastic remake of the Black Hawk. This is the sea equivalent and offers a much better product in general for those kinds of conditions. This comes equipped with the design and style of the Hellenic Navy, who own 11 of these beauties to themselves. In Greece, though, this is known as the Aegean Hawk simply because of the Aegean Sea.

When I first got into the cockpit I was hugely impressed by its general flight accuracy and style as I can be at odds with helicopters quite often – however, not this time. It does a wonderful job of making it nice and easy to just relax and have some fun, reducing the challenges that most people will face when using something like the Aegean Hawk to a minimum. Again, I’m not fan of choppers but got to grips with this fairly quickly – it’s not as incredibly hard to manage and look after as it might appear at first.

This apace is a totally complete set, meaning that you don’t need anything else other than yourself to run it and make it work in your favor. It can also be used in FS2004, too, although I have not had the chance yet to thoroughly compare both models to see what comes out with the best/worst changes. What I did find, though, was that this seemed to come with everything.

A virtual cockpit, panels, sounds, fresh flight dynamics – everything and anything that you could ask for moving forward here! The set that you are getting here, then, does a wonderful job selling the hard work and the style of this aircraft in the most authentic fashion it possibly can.

If you need something else to add to your chopper collection that moves away from the same old and instead introduces to something fresh and new, come and try this!
