FSX Heinkel He-51

Heinkel He 51 brings a classic German single-seat biplane to FSX with fighter, seaplane, and ground-attack variants, modeled as a refined evolution of the He 49. Expect smooth full animations, a detailed virtual cockpit with 3D gauges, and baked textures, plus a functional stick button to toggle the bombs.

The Heinkel He51 was a German single-seat biplane which was produced in a number of different versions. It was initially developed as a fighter, and a seaplane variant and a ground-attack version were also developed. It was a development of the earlier He 49. Includes full animations, 3D gauges and baked textures. By Craig Richardson. Thanks to Huub Vink (textures), Tom Falley (flight model) and Mathias Pommerien for help on the 3D gauges and XML.

Installation instructions:

Unzip into a temporary directory, then cut and paste into your SimObjects/Airplanes Directory.

The red button on the control stick turns the "bombs" on and off.

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D add-on

  1. Extract the downloaded archive

    Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.

  2. Place files per the readme

    Most FSX add-ons go into one of: SimObjects\Airplanes\, Addon Scenery\, Effects\, or Gauges\.

  3. Always read the included readme

    Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.

    Nice plane, flies well, good graphics, easy install. If you want a change of pace from flying the big jets, military planes,etc. give this one a try. Good job! Thanks!
