This freeware repaint showcases a 1968-era Braniff International Panagra “Yellow Jellybean” livery designed for the Captain Sim B707-300 model in Microsoft Flight Simulator X. Created by Marc Brown, it meticulously recreates the aircraft’s vibrant fuselage and tail markings from that iconic era of jet travel, bringing an authentic touch of mid-century design to your simulator environment.
Capturing a Historic 707 Livery
The Boeing 707 stood at the forefront of commercial intercontinental travel during the 1960s, and this repaint focuses on Braniff International’s collaboration with Pan American-Grace Airways. Known for vividly painted aircraft, the “Yellow Jellybean” branding exemplified Braniff’s trailblazing approach to airline marketing. Marc Brown’s recreation highlights contrasting color segments along the fuselage and tail, offering a visually striking look that aims to replicate the timeless style of 1960s jet operations.
Detailed Texture Adaptation
These textures are specifically tailored for use with Captain Sim’s B707-300 payware model. They feature precise fuselage lines, historically accurate registration numbers (N7073), and period-specific logos. By emphasizing exterior details such as rivet placement, panel shading, and reflectivity, the repaint ensures an immersive experience for all users seeking loyalty to the original aircraft design.

Repaint Installation Steps
- Extract the downloaded file to a temporary folder on your system.
- Locate your “CS_B707-300” aircraft directory, then place the texture.N7073 folder inside it.
- Open the aircraft.cfg file in the same “CS_B707-300” folder and insert the repaint’s configuration section. Replace X with the next consecutive number after your existing
fltsim
entries. Ensure the title line within that new entry matches the same index.
Important Model Information
This repaint does not include the payware Boeing 707-300 base package, which must be obtained separately through a store such as SimShack. Once the Captain Sim model is installed, the provided texture folder and config edits will allow you to operate this radiant vintage Braniff Panagra livery, one that truly honors the early Jet Age.
