Hainan Airlines’ Boeing 787-9 V5 brings the Dreamliner to life in FSX with a refined flight model, high-resolution exterior textures, improved reflections, and crisp panel detail. Animated Ground Servicing adds working doors, cargo hatches, service vehicles, and static ramp displays for more authentic turnarounds and gate presence.
The latest release of this freeware Boeing 787-9 package features a more refined flight model, comprehensive exterior textures, and a built-in Animated Ground Servicing (often abbreviated as AGS). Hainan Airlines, known for its extensive network across Asia and beyond, enhances the realism of your routes with this distinctive livery. Model design and paintwork are carried out by Camil Valiquette of CamSim, ensuring accuracy and visual detail.
In this V5 iteration, the 787-9 is presented with upgraded surface reflections and subtle panel lines. These refinements help replicate the composite structures of the Dreamliner (the colloquial name for Boeing’s 787 series). The aircraft’s high-resolution paint job showcases Hainan Airlines’ signature color transitions, delivering a visually striking and immersive experience when viewed from various angles in the simulator.

CamSim’s AGS provides animated elements such as passenger doors, cargo hatches, and service vehicles. Integrated static displays are also included, allowing the aircraft to appear more dynamic when docked. This functionality heightens immersion during pre-flight or post-flight sequences, and it helps replicate real-world ground handling.
Everything is bundled as a complete freeware base model, so you do not need to install additional components. Simply ensure that each file is placed in its correct location, which keeps performance and special effects consistent.
To properly engage and hide the AGS elements, make sure that key mappings for wing folding and tail hook operations are set in FSX. These functions are re-purposed to control specific ground-service animations on this aircraft model. The recommended keyboard inputs are:

With this newly perfected V5 release, CamSim and Camil Valiquette have introduced noticeable enhancements that both novice and veteran flight sim enthusiasts will appreciate. The inclusion of Hainan Airlines’ livery underscores the airline’s growing long-haul presence, while the efficient Dreamliner platform ensures authentic ways to replicate real-world operations. This all-in-one freeware package provides an immersive addition to any virtual hangar, seamlessly blending visual detail with practical ground services.
