This freeware release introduces a meticulously crafted Hainan Airlines rendition of the Boeing 787-8, designed and painted by Camil Valiquette of CamSim. It provides an upgraded aircraft model along with a refined Animated Ground Servicing feature that enhances realism during ramp operations.

Overview

Hainan Airlines, a major carrier headquartered in China, has been operating a modern fleet that includes the Boeing 787 series for medium- and long-haul routes. This virtual adaptation is based on the 787-8 variant, which is known for its composite airframe and advanced aerodynamic profile. It brings high-resolution textures, a detailed external model, and functional ground support animations to your simulator.

Main Add-On Highlights

• Refined exterior geometry featuring CamSim’s version 2 design methodology.
• Enhanced Animated Ground Servicing (AGS) that simulates equipment around the aircraft when parked.
• High-fidelity livery capturing Hainan Airlines’ distinctive color scheme.
• Fully animated passenger and cargo doors, as well as specific ground-service vehicles (where applicable).

Installation Procedure

1. Extract all files into the “Airplane” subfolder of your FSX directory.
2. If this is your first CamSim aircraft incorporating AGS, unzip the “Effects.zip” into your main FSX folder. The files should be placed in the “Effects” subfolder.

Using the AGS Features

This release includes animated ground servicing elements, which require mapping specific key commands:

• Press Shift+E to operate passenger doors.
• Press Shift+D to cycle cargo doors.
• Press Shift+C to activate or conclude the ground equipment animations.

To ensure these inputs work correctly, assign the following in your simulator’s “Options” menu:

• Wing fold/unfold = Shift + C
• Tail hook up/down = Shift + D
