FSX Lockheed L-1011 Engine Smoke

Lockheed L-1011-100 engine smoke brings a convincing trail to the freeware Erick Cantu TriStar when flown in FSX, using carefully tuned smoke-system coordinates that place effects neatly within each engine. The result enhances takeoff and taxi atmosphere while keeping the visual output aligned with the aircraft’s scale and geometry.

INSTALLATION: Simple as 1, 2, 3...

1.) Open your L-1011 "aircraft.cfg" file,
copy and paste the [SMOKESYSTEM] info.
below into the aircraft.cfg file.
I pasted mine at the bottom with good results.
Then click 'file', then click 'save', of course.

2.) Notice the coordinates show the "fx_smoke_f6"
effect as the one I'm using, and chances are
if you have any of my other smokes, then the
"fx_smoke_f6" effect file is already located in
your FSX "Effects" folder. If you wish to use a
different smoke effect from your FSX "Effects"
folder, simply rename the 3 "fx_smoke_f6" info. in
the coordinates to the name of the smoke effect
of your choice, then click 'file', then click 'save',
of course.

3.) This aircraft was large enough for me to hide the
smoke inside of the engines, so you need only press
your "I" key once at the start of the flight. As you
begin to roll, the smoke will start pouring out of the
engines. After you land and roll to a stop, the smoke
will disappear back inside the engines. As you start
to roll again, the smoke will begin to pour out from
the engines again.

[SMOKESYSTEM]
smoke.0=1.232, -35.416, -3.501, fx_smoke_f6
smoke.1=-80.732, 0.401, 9.901, fx_smoke_f6
smoke.2=1.232, 35.816, -3.501, fx_smoke_f6

    Most FSX add-ons go into one of: SimObjects\Airplanes\, Addon Scenery\, Effects\, or Gauges\.
  3. Always read the included readme

    Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.
