LTU Lockheed L-1011 TriStar brings classic widebody airline flying to Microsoft Flight Simulator X with an FSX-native exterior model based on Erick Cantu’s WIP mesh and a clean airline repaint. It uses the default panel and sounds, focuses on smooth visuals and effects, and requires FSX Service Pack 1 or 2.

1) unzip folder to a suitable folder, your desktop for example.
2) Move the Tom_L1011-100 as it is into your FSX
SimObjects\Airplanes\ folder.
3) copy the three .fx files into your FSX \effects folder if they are
not already installed there.

FSX / P3D add-on

  1. Extract the downloaded archive

    Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.

  2. Place files per the readme

    Most FSX add-ons go into one of: SimObjects\Airplanes\, Addon Scenery\, Effects\, or Gauges\.
