USAF McDonnell F-101C Voodoo Single Seat Set 1. This is the first of two texture sets for the Alphasim F-101 single-seat fighter. All have 2048 x 2048 main texture files and therefore only suitable for FSX. This first set contains three different US Air Force paint schemes applied to aircraft of the 81st Tactical Fighter Wing, based at the twin bases of Woodbridge and Bentwaters, UK between 1960 and 1965. There are two variations post-1962 when squadron-specific schemes were abandoned and a single scheme adopted for all aircraft. The other two are the original 78th Tactical Fighter Squadron scheme from 1960 and the second the later 1961 scheme for the same unit. Many thanks to Ed Wells for the use of some of his artwork. USAF McDonnell F-101C in flight.
This is a set of four textures for the Alphasim F-101 single-seat fighter, representing three different paint schemes applied to aircraft of the 81st Tactical Fighter Wing, based at the twin bases of Woodbridge and Bentwaters, UK between 1960 and 1965. All have 2048 x 2048 main texture files and therefore only suitable for FSX. A separate texture.shared file is included and each set includes a texture.txt file pointing to this folder, and a thumbnail. If you already have my RF-101C set then you can overwrite the texture.shared folder.
There are two variations post-1962 when squadron-specific schemes were abandonned and a single scheme adopted for all aircraft. 56-0020 carries the Air Force Outstanding Unit Citation ribbon awarded in 1965 prior to the aircraft moving back to the U.S. where most were converted to RF-101G or-H configuration.
The other two are the original 78th Tactical Fighter Squadron scheme from 1960 and the second the later 1961 scheme for the same unit.
Unzip the file to a temporary folder and drag and drop all five texture folders into your Airplanes/Alphasim F-101 1-seat folder, then copy and paste the following into the aircraft.cfg folder after the last [fltsimxx] entry:-

Now enjoy....!
These textures have been researched thoroughly and are as accurate as I can get them. Very many thanks to Ed Wells (Falcon409) for permission to use some his artwork. These repaints are based on the Alphasim repaint kits. They are freeware and can be used and modified as you wish for your own use. They must not be used or sold for commercial gain. If you want to publish any repaints based upon them they must be published as freeware and must acknowledge the authors Dave Quincey/Ed Wells and Alphasim.
