A Day At The Farm Mission for Microsoft Flight Simulator X delivers ten guided UK VFR flights that hunt down secluded farm strips from Morecambe Bay through the mountains of Wales, supported by refreshed custom scenery and textures. A Day At The Farm, v2. Requires Horizon VFR Sceneries 1 and 3 or Just Flight's 3 and 4; VFR Addons `AGent'; Rwy12 sceneries. This is an update of the original release with all new scenery. Some but not all of the scenery can be used in FS2004. Fancy a few exciting flights to get the most out of Just Flight's UK VFR scenery? Well here are some flights to discover some of the hard to find `Farm Strips' dotted around the country. This first version covers from Morecambe Bay down through the mountains of Wales. A Day At The Farm Mission.

INSTALLATION

Unzip Neil's Farms Strips.zip into an empty directory. I haven't included a self installer this time.

Unzip the original zip folder into a temporary folder. You will now have three folders 1/ A Day on the Farm\2/Scenery and 3/ Texture.

I recomend simply installing A Day on the farm and its subfolders onto your hard drive (see end of the chapter A Day on the Farm).

Start flightsim go into world \ Scenery Library \ Add and find the folder `A DAY ON THE FARM' and activate it and away you go.

The scenery should now be active. Select WORLD/ GO TO AIRPORT and all airfields shoud be visible.

At the back of `A DAY ON THE FARM' guide is a list of all software required. Read this before flying.

This is freeware and includes other peoples work so do not sell it.

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D mission

  1. Extract the downloaded archive

    Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.

  2. Place mission files

    Missions go into FSX\Missions\ as a sub-folder. The folder must contain an XML file describing the mission.

  3. Always read the included readme

    Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.
