Features For Pilotable WWII Frigate. FSX features for a pilotable WWII frigate (GRUMMAN_WILDCAT-RULER_CLASS_CVE_ROYAL_NAVY.ZIP from the Retro Carrier Group required. This Japanese warship from Mark Schimmer is originally used as scenery object or as a generic escort AI ship (with British flags) within the add-on from the Retro Carrier Group. This add-on provides a pilotable ship with bridge, sounds and special effects like forward firing AA-guns or exploding depth charges, causing a oil leak at a hitten submarine. Seven camera views let you explore the ship: standing at the stern you can see the detailed deck or you can turn around to handle the AA-gun. Man three of five triple AA-guns, stand on the fly bridge or at the bow, fire the AA-gun at the front deck or the main turret. Bitmaps and configuration by Erwin Welker.

Remarks: I don't know where you can get the original version of Mark Schimmers japanes frigate or destroyer. Sorry, I don't have a tool for repainting DDS.textures, so we have to live with the british flags. Maybe one of you guis can provide me the texture with japanes flags.

INSTALLATION:

1. Install my folder "Frigate WWII" with my panel, sound, aircraft.cfg and airfile first.

2. Copy the Gauges and Effects into the mainfolder of FSX.

3. Download "grumman_wildcat-ruler_class_cve_royal_navy.zip".

4. Copy from the zipfile "Frigate" in the folder "Ruler Class" the Model and the Texture (overwrite YES) into the folder for the pilotable version, named "Frigate WWII"

Do not copy the sim.cfg! It is only for ai-ship!!!

Views and features: (toggle with S-key to aircraft-views, then toggle with A-key for other views) Fire the main gun or throw the depth charges, using the key for strobe lights, trigger the AA-guns with the I-key (Smoke system).

SOUNDS:

Remember: Some sounds are only in the panel view mode available or they are very low in the aircraft views.

F8-F5 (Flaps): Alarm bells ZZ: (Autopilot disengage): Schips typhoon Shift E (Exit open/close): Gun shot G (Gear/Gun): AA-gun

CREDITS:

Many thanks to Mark Schimmer, who made this very detailed ship. Many thanks to all of the creative persons, who do such a great work. I am sorry, but I do not know from whom all the gauges, effects and sounds are. I have to many.
