FSX Ganges Harbour Scenery

Ganges Harbour, British Columbia, Canada. Uses only default scenery objects to give the right feeling for Ganges Harbor and Ganges Harbour Water Aerodrome (CAX6), located on Saltspring Island. Also includes Landy Minto Hospital heliport (CAL7). By Ville Elomaa.

1. GENERAL

The idea of this package is that only default FsX objects have been used to create the scenery, but it should give you the right feeling about every place.

This package contains scenery for Ganges Harbour and Ganges Harbour Water Aerodrome (CAX6) located on Saltspring Island, in Canada BC. Also the Lady Minto hospital heliport (CAL7) has been added.

There are AfCad files for both the seaplane base and heliport. No water runways have been created, only start locations in the pier. The start locations have been determined for a De Havilland Canada DHC2 Beaver. If you use bigger seaplanes, remember to turn of collision detection in the simulator to avoid collisions with the piers.

2. FEATURES

Because of lacking or buggy default scenery, some additions and fixes have been made:

- some landclasses fixed on Saltspring Island
- Roads added on Saltspring Island
- Ganges Harbour area shore lines fixed and scenery added using FsX default objects

This scenery works also with the XClass Canada addon and fixes some bugs in it in this area.

3. INSTALLATION

a. Unzip this package in some temporary directory
b. Copy the GangesHarbour directory under the Addon Scenery directory of Flight Simulator X
c. Add the GangesHarbour scenery in the scenery library in the simulator (Settings -> Scenery Library -> Add Area)
d. Happy flying!

This package is freeware, but you may not distribute it without the author’s permission. The package must be distributed as it is, without any changes.
