Editorial
As someone with a genuine passion for helicopters after watching my uncle fly them for years, I’ve always looked forward to the helicopter add-on packages every bit, if not more, excitedly than I have for the traditional planes that everyone else loves to fly.
I don’t know what it is, whether it’s the challenge or the style of the helicopter in general, but I just find them to be the perfect way to take off and enjoy the skies at a more relaxed level than you might be traditionally used to when flying a normal aircraft like a seaplane.
However, the main benefit that I found from downloading this Black Hawk package is that I was able to take on something that felt like the perfect blend. I won’t lie when I say just how tough this was to actually fly; it takes precision, skill, and timing to get yourself into the frame of mind whereby you’ll be able to deliver the perfect flight.
It’s something that is a genuine challenge so if you are used to your flight simulator giving you a bit less of a fight this can be a serious learning curve for some people with regard to how the series can be handled.
This arrives in various different styles with liveries included for each model, giving you all the variants of the famous Black Hawk that is so popular throughout the history of military aviation.
I always wanted to get into the cockpit of one of these but was always left a little underwhelmed at the realism or the quality of the interior – thankfully, this excellent creation provided me with something far more akin to what I was looking for.
So, what did I notice?
-
The quality of the textures is hugely impressive; these look excellent far away, as well as close up. This gives you all the help that you need in putting together the perfect experience so if you are like me and always wanted to use a Black Hawk at the very highest levels of realism and detail, and then you’ll really need to check this out!
-
It’s been very faithfully designed in terms of the functions and features that are available in the real thing; looking to find that specific button you always wanted to press in the Blackhawk itself? Then you’ll find it in the authentically created cockpit
-
If you need a proper challenge from a flight simulator then this is the aircraft to seek that challenge out in; it’ll help you get the right kind of movement and style for flying this helicopter. As I mentioned above this is tough and takes a lot more patience to get used to than some other mods, but it’s very much worth it
Although it looks great, it sounds every bit as good, too. A huge amount of work obviously went into making this awesome project and I’d thoroughly recommend it to anyone who wants to see their own flight potential start increasing as they use this kind of software!
It’s a hugely useful addition, with liveries included, for the maximum effect and benefit to everyone.

Good aircraft but the textures need a lot of work. No offense but it looks like plastic. Good job all around.
