Hi, I'm Tom, and this is my first scenery for FSX-Duxford. Why Duxford? Well, to put it in a nutshell I felt like it, and it is one of my favourite places. Since there was no real vaguely accurate freeware scenery for this place, I got on with it. This is not 100% accurate scenery, but it is close enough for me. I've added AI plans for both the rapides and the static aircraft, please see below for details.

I have tested this an it all seems to work, however, if it doesn't or something is wrong, please to contact me (details at the bottom of the page) and I'll sort it out.

This scenery is compatible with FSX SP2 with Acceleration, prividing that DX 10 preview is turned off. (I haven't tested with it on). THIS IS NOT COMPATIBLE WITH FS9!

Plans for the future:
I'm intending to make scenery for all the airfields in Cambrigeshire, and maybe I'll do more after that. Of course I won't (and can't) put a time frame on this, but its on my to-do list.

Installing:
1.Put the "TA Duxford" folder into your addon scenery folder. Rename it if you wish.
2.Add the scenery to the FSX setup using the scenery library manager in the FSX options menu.
3.Download and install all of Ted Andrews RAF Buildings libraries (search "Ted Andrews RAF Buildings FSX" and you'll find them There is no need to install the runway 12 stuff, just the buildings libraries and the texture pack)
4.Adding the AI. Since these are technically AI aircraft, more downloads are required. Download and install the aircraft and textures in the normal way, and add the config entry to the aircraft config file. These aircraft are completely optional, and you can use any model you want, just bear in mind that the parking codes in the config sections below match up to the parking spot in the scenery itself.

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D scenery
  1. Extract the downloaded archive

Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.
  2. Place scenery in Addon Scenery

Create a folder under FSX\Addon Scenery\ containing scenery and texture sub-folders.
  3. Activate in Scenery Library

In FSX, go to Settings → Scenery Library → Add Area. Higher priority means it overrides lower entries for the same location.
  4. Always read the included readme

Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.
